Chaga Mushrooms: KING OF MEDICINAL MUSHROOMS

Ive been test running some amazing magic mushrooms (um not the ones found in cow patties) and I want to share what Ive found. Ive always been a fan of medicinal mushrooms and have taken them on and off for years. Just recently Ive been researching a mysterious and potent mushroom called Chaga. After taking Chaga mushroom combined with Reishi mushrooms for about a month now, Ive found my energy has been restoring on a deep level. There's something deeply nurturing about this mushroom combination and it seems to assist me with my sometimes hectic work load. My sleep has improved profoundly and a general feeling of well being is growing. Apart from this Ive been researching and reading everything I can about Chaga and believe me there seems to be only 1 book written about this incredible mushroom - which Ive read. There are some scientific journals written as well and if you want to know more, just continue reading; In Traditional Chinese Medicine there is a difference between medicinal herbs and tonics. Medicinal herbs are often used for a specific reason and are good as occasional foods but not recommended to be taken over longer periods of time. There are foods that are classified as superior tonics and these can be taken over long periods of time, as they tonify which means that they are health and wellness boosters and over long periods of time enliven the body. Chaga Mushrooms are one of these. In TCM they say that any food that is black has the ability to restore our Jing which is our essential life force, our youthful energy. There are very few foods that can do that and as a result it’s very difficult to restore Jing. Chaga is a black mushroom that looks like charcoal in appearance and has been used in many ancient cultures for this very reason. Sourced from Birch Trees in cold harsh climates like Siberia and some parts of China and America. Birch trees themselves have strong healing properties. Foods that grow in harsh climates have certain energetic properties that allow them to adapt to that climate. That is why we call them adaptogenic and it’s believed that when you eat those foods you start to inherit those adapting energies. It may assist with;

  • Anti-ageing adaptogen

  • Stress management

  • Immune system

  • Inflammation (2)

  • Blood sugar regulation (3)

  • Liver and Kidney support

  • Antioxidant defences

  • Anti-cancer & anti-tumour properties (1)

  • Skin health due to high levels of melanin

  • DNA shielding agent

  • Radiation

Healing properties: Chaga possess powerful anti-cancer and antitumor properties some of which are attributed to beta glucans and melanin. It has also been used to treat diabetes (3), certain cancers and heart disease (1)

It’s registered with the FDA and world health authorities as its many healing properties have been scientifically acknowledged and continue to be researched more and more as it comes out to recognise the important role these medicinal tree. It can be taken with other mushrooms like Reishi and Lions Mane for more potent results. The Shaolin monks were reported to use Chaga and Reishi together as their main source of medicine. Ingredients: – 100% pure birch grown chaga mushroom extract powder. Di Tao sourced*. No fillers excipients, colours, preservatives & additives. * Di Tao sourced from the most pristine mountains, valleys and plains in extremely rural regions where the herbs are spiritually at home. From the growers, the foragers, the extractors, to us, the herbs are handled with extreme reverence; this is true Di Tao herbalism. Dosage: ¼ to ½ teaspoon daily. It’s important to feel into how your body would like to use this source of food. Your body will tell you if it’s too much or if you need more. My suggestion is to start with ¼ dose to feel how it is for you. Safe during pregnancy (unless you suffer from rare tree mushroom allergies) Uses: there are many ways you can use Chaga and it was used in post war era as a coffee replacement due to shortages of coffee; It can be drunk like a tea; Added to your coffee or hot chocolate; Baked in cakes or added directly to food; Add to your smoothies; It can be used directly on the skin. I like to put it in hot almond milk with an organic coffee as a super heathy coffee latte.
